Description

Untitled ‘Abundance’ by Eegyvudluk Ragee —  Inuit Art from Cape Dorset 1979 original hand drawing collection presented by DaVic Gallery of Native Canadian Arts.

Condition:          No condition noted.

Description by Artist:     No description by artist found.

Notes from DaVic Gallery:   mystic, captivating, and intriguing composition where Eegyvudluk maintains the consistency of symmetry and balance that can be observed in the other of her drawings.  Two mother birds with their children on their back face to face, two polar bears and two additional gulls on the lower area.  Though only one of the bears appear to be eating a fish, all other animals give the impression of being content.  The colors used give us a sense of warmth while transporting us into a world of adventure and mysticism.

The blank sheet of letter-size (8.5” x 11”) paper covering part of the image is for size reference (last picture).
