Notes from DaVic Gallery:Anvil Island – State II‘ is based on a limited edition of etched glass sculptures. The Anvil Island series continues Susan’s exploration of themes of connections between sky and sea, nature and humanity and the twirling strands of women’s weaving. Anvil Island is the third largest of the islands in Howe Sound, British Columbia, Canada, and the northernmost of the major islands in that sound. It is located northeast of Gambier Island, southwest of Britannia Beach and west of Porteau Cove.
