Notes from DaVic Gallery:    This caribou is not going down easy and will not submit to its attacker that could be a pack of wolves or a group of Inuk hunters.  Even though there is a pact between animals and men that Shaman makes where animals surrender their lives for the survival of human communities, this caribou is ready to put up a fight nonetheless.  Those sharp antlers and hooves are ready to be put to use.  Indeed, hunting activities are always life or death for both parts and for the hunter it requires experience and the skills necessary to come out victorious and bring back the meat necessary for the survival of their pack or their community.  For Inuit people, this caribou brings not only meat but also skin for clothing, and bones for tools.
