Description

‘Hunting with Bow and Spear’ by Jessie Oonark, RCA, OC – Inuit Art – Baker Lake 1975 print collection presented by DaVic Gallery of Native Canadian Arts.

Description by Artist:     No description by artist found.

Notes from DaVic Gallery:   Three hunters, two with bow and one with spear position themselves strategically on the slope of a hill anticipating the path of caribou migration.  As seven caribou walk around this hill, the three hunters are already taking aim and ready to engage in hunt.  Seems this will be a successful hunt where each hunter is ready to shoot.
