Notes from DaVic Gallery:  It is interesting to observe Cee’s fascination with multitude of “things”: fish, bugs … looking at this print, one can feel the overwhelming desperation of being swarmed by mosquitoes.  The red background could not be more appropriate with the red colour of blood sucked by the relentless mosquitoes.

Would you think there are more than one thousand mosquitoes there?  I’m sure being swarmed must certainly feel like there must be thousands of mosquitoes after you.  There are 1041 mosquitoes in this print. I counted them.  Don’t take my word for it, count them and let me know if you counted a different number.  Easy to be distracted and lose count …  🙂
