Notes from DaVic Gallery: Owl Attacking Prey is strong reminder of “Surprise Attack” by Iyola Kingwatsiak and “Owl and Hare” by Mialia Jaw. This could be the sight a small rabbit catches looking-up alerted by a sudden whooshing sound. Being the last thing this rabbit sees, the moment freezes in time that details of the owl and the wind stream behind it are perfectly visible in vibrant colors enhanced by adrenaline. Reaction is only followed by the feel of fear but only once in the owl’s claws.

3 colors are used for this print with bold use of yellow for the owl’s paws, eyes and outside lines. White and blue of the Windstream feel most heavily predominant in this piece.
