Description
‘Reclining Caribou’ by Malaija Pootoogook – Inuit Art – Cape Dorset 2014 print collection by Dorset Fine Arts, presented by DaVic Gallery of Native Canadian Arts.
Condition: No condition to be noted.
Description by Artist: No description by artist found.
Notes from DaVic Gallery: This entertaining and endearing print reminds me of ‘Clash’ also by Malaija Pootoogook. In this print we have a caribou seating down on its hind though I do not believe this is a common behavior, unless the caribou is hurt and tumbling down backwards? In this print we see a caribou awkwardly reclining back and for some reason seems contempt doing so.
