Description by Artist:     “Red Bird” – is about colour, lines and vibrational energy. Of course most basically, it is an abstract portrait. Her Native Name as the title, with the bird, her spirit animal, speaking to her.   The colour choices are made for healing, colours have optical vibrational energy so thats why I use blocks of colour, in the same way that Norval Morrisseau used his bright colours. In his Woodland Style, he said that it didnt matter what picture he painted. It was just a means so lay down his colours.

Notes from DaVic Gallery:     Birds represent often the messengers of the creator. This bird is singing messages to a girl and the notes sang by the red bird touch the girls face.  The girl could be wearing a veil that flies in the wind …
