Description by Artist:     “Two human figures in shaman trance state, Thunderbird headdress, fish headdress, flower, rainbow, interconnecting eclipse, 2 angel figures, heart, 3 birds, turtle, trees, water drops.

‘Soulmates Forever’ is a great piece because of the Universal theme of love and soulmate energy. It is quite obvious that the artist in me, was heavily moved and inspired by love and this is a very significant painting for me.  My passion around women, the love of beauty, of everything feminine, mother earth, the season of springtime, the garden of mother earth beginning to blossom, the sexuality of all of mother earth, creation and life upon her. This empowering magnificence. We are birthed from such heavenly reflection and truth. The feminine aspect of our Creator is indeed, the grand mother of all mothers….all my relations. For indeed, love, all love, is holy and sacred. Some of us are so lucky that soul mates are often a lovely part of everyday….if we pay attention, we often collide more times than not through any particular lifetime…

The painting is the subject matter of when soul mates collide. It happens to me more times than one would think. The symbolism suggests a grand meeting of inspiration and spiritual truth. Rainbow Thunderbird is sharing blessings of enlightenment through spiritual reflection. The shaman apprentice is open to a retooling so to speak. In regards of course, to divine recognition of her feminine beauty. She symbolizes the youthfulness of our Mother Nature spirit, for she sees herself in this light….naturally. Flowers grow within the inner garden of our mind, heart and spirit. We choose to co-create with Source, the creator of all that is. The turtle symbolizes turtle Island and our relationships upon her. You see the significance of the water, for water is so symbolic of life. When a woman is about to give birth, she must first “break her water” in order for process of life to take place. All these things are interconnected. This painting was executed at a time of the solar eclipse, the spring equinox and the new moon. A most powerful time of new life, new opportunities, to new beginnings and fresh journeys. With a relationship based on Universal love for all things, we can choose to navigate with spirit, even when soul mates collide….all my relations, MAJ” – Mark Anthony Jacobson

Notes from DaVic Gallery:  I’m out of words … just deeply moved by this painting and the story behind it … thanks Mark!
