Notes from DaVic Gallery: We have here a second version of Piona’s 2011 print titled, ‘Rewarded for The Successful Hunt’. This version we have green and white where again it shows Piona’s grandmother after receiving a share from a successful hunt as otherworldly creatures witness the reward. She stands near her summer camp where her fishing tools lay. The sun is also witness to this event. The woman is transformed. Spirit creatures holding cutting utensils at woman’s feet.
