Notes from DaVic Gallery:   Beautiful moment between mother and son riding in her amauiti pouch that is so tenderly captured by Ningeokuluk. That tantalizing moment just when the child see that sweet sweet treat coming his way and just needs to reach for a lick.  Such beautiful moment.  However, it begs the observation and perspective of social influence from the south onto the arctic.  It is clear the weather is not warm, on the contrary, both mother and child are wearing heavy clothing for cold weather and yet they are in festive mood celebrating with a cone of ice-cream… ice-cream … in the Arctic!
