Notes from DaVic Gallery:     Lucy Qinnuayuak was prolific and drew many different subjects, but she is surely best remembered for her whimsical birds. In this composition too, we see a little owl, typical of Lucy’s designs, peeking its radiant head, in an almost discreet manner, from behind another bird. The composition also features two large birds, two men and the mythological Sedna, also known as Talelayou or Talilayuk, grouped in a strange formation, giving this composition a sense of whimsy.
