Description

‘Talk of Birds’ by Lucy Qinnuayuak – Inuit Art – Cape Dorset Archival Collection 2004 print collection presented by DaVic Gallery of Native Canadian Arts.

Condition:          New print received from DFA.  Paper shows small yellowish stain in upper center-left edge.  Sprinkled small dots of possibly foxing. These can be better perceived in picture # 3.

Description by Artist:     No description by artist available.

Notes from DaVic Gallery:    Lucy Qinnuayuak was prolific and drew many different subjects, but surely it is for her whimsical birds that she is best remembered. Here we have a little reunion of three birds having a little discussion with one of them excitedly telling a story or defending and argument while the other two on the right attentively listen.
