Transforming Owl’ by Ningeokuluk Teevee — Inuit Art from Cape Dorset 2019 original hand drawing collection presented by DaVic Gallery of Native Canadian Arts.

This product is now ** SOLD **

Condition:          small donkey ear top right.

Description by Artist:     “A females used to wish that she could become a bird and she became ine but she fell and landed on her beak first.  That is how she became an owl.  As told by Mialia Jaw (Where I was in elementary school).” – Ningeokuluk Teevee

Notes from DaVic Gallery:   Beautiful composition where most white space is used to build the head of the owl that also wears a coat of feathers like leafs.  A braid and a female breast hint this is a human female transforming into owl.
