Notes from DaVic Gallery:    When I first saw this print the first impression was a girl living in the wild, alone and only part of her harm shows in this print giving more emphasis to her surroundings, the environment where she grew up fending for herself.  Then it reminded me of Aasiva where she is simply picking berries from shrubs.  It remains though that this girls is as close to nature as anyone can be.  Shrub leaves reaching out trying to touch her hand, offering their fruits right on her hand.  The black background with the paper gives this print a somewhat somber feel to it even though the content is lively.  The balance and the execution is right where only by observation we can see how busy the content is and yet doesn’t feel saturated.  It is just right balance.
