Notes from DaVic Gallery:   Many of Qavavau’s compositions depict cross species friendship and integration.  This is no exception and we see sea birds emerging from whales while dolphins keep watch or simply company.  All this transformation is witnessed and filmed by two men with their cameras covered in plastic bags to prevent water from damaging the cameras.  These men use breathing devices too.

The blank sheet of letter-size (8.5” x 11”) paper covering part of the image in the last picture is for size reference.
