Notes from DaVic Gallery:   This print edition provenance from Albrecht Collection at the Heard Museum.  Page 109, “Arctic Spirit” by Ingo Hessel.

Such endearing composition of a young caribou calf shyly and anxiously calling on her mother.  The warm colors used in this stonecut bring tenderness and warmth toward this beautiful print of a well fed calf with her thick hooves on her line-thin skinny legs hanging off her body.  Beautiful and complex usual abstract with simple lines Sheojuk is known for.

This print is robustly and beautifully framed.
