Description

‘Bear’ by Mary (Miary) Pudlat – Inuit Art – Cape Dorset 1964 print collection by Dorset Fine Arts, presented by DaVic Gallery of Native Canadian Arts.

Condition:          Very Good condition – Professionally treated for paper discoloration, iron inclusion, and handling marks.  Small paper fold remains visible top right corner.

Description by Artist:     No description by artist found.

Notes from DaVic Gallery:   Beautiful and great find this 56 year old print by Mary Pudlat, inscribed by one Mary’s alternative names, Miary.  Interesting simple abstract rendition of a polar bear that appears to be standing gazing at the viewer with one eye.  Polar bears are the most feared predators.

Please reference picture # 3 for size comparison with letter size paper.
