This is what some of DaVic Art Gallery customers have to say about their overall visit and purchase experience … Thank you!
I’ve been exceptionally pleased with how unusually courteous and helpful the owner has been throughout my interactions with the DaVic Gallery. The gallery staff went above and beyond to send me multiple photographs from different angles of a particular piece I was interested in, and with high resolution images to make my decision-making that much easier. The owner has been consistently patient, giving of his time, and appears genuinely inspired by and appreciative of Inuit art and not just turning a profit. On top of all of these qualities, the DaVic Gallery website stands apart from many others due to its extensive provision of valuable information and stories about each piece for sale. Terrific job!
I would definitely recommend this gallery and in particular the gallery owner for anyone interested in Native Canadian artwork.
I was anxious about buying a piece of art without the chance to see it in person and then having it shipped to the US. But the shopping experience was great – photos were accurate and Edgar was very helpful. Print arrived in good time and perfect condition and is exactly what I was looking for.
What a wonderful selection of amazing art you have! The ordering, shipping, and delivery services were exceptional. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the services of this gallery and Edgar, with whom it was phenomenal to engage. The website is also well organized and easy to navigate. Highly recommended:-)
… Thank YOU, Edgar. You were the “wow” factor in our buying experience 🙂 many thanks for your attention and care!
I ordered a print from the gallery. I had excellent communication and was professionally advised what shipping option would be the best for the artwork. The print arrived in the USA on time and very carefully packed.
I am very happy with my order and hope to do business with the gallery in the future again.
I recently bought 2 paintings from DaVic Gallery. I was impressed by the knowledge and information provided by the owner Edgar. There was no pressure to purchase. I made my decision slowly over a couple of weeks. The gallery has an extensive collection with fair prices. The customer service was excellent. Edgar called me after delivery to ensure I was happy with my paintings.
Very service oriented and professional. I was kept informed throughout the entire sales process. They were able to answer all my questions very fast which is why I bought my print here (other sellers took longer to reply and lost the sale). I was provided with free upgraded shipping due to the postal strike. All of the tracking info was provided promptly and follow up emails were sent after I received my order to ensure I was satisfied.
I will definitely shop here again in the future! Thanks!
The piece of art, “Grandmother Spider” by Christi Belcourt, that I ordered online was delivered very promptly. It was was in excellent condition due to the care and professionalism of the packaging. The sales representative was a pleasure to deal with.
Totally satisfied! Thank you.
We recently purchased two prints from Edgar, and the entire process was terrific! His collection is impressive, his knowledge of that collection deep, his enthusiasm infectious, and his kindness without parallel. The prints were well protected when they were ready for pick-up, which he and his wife accommodated on our schedule. To be honest, this was one of the nicest experiences I have had purchasing anything in a long time.
Thanks, Edgar – greatly appreciated and looking forward to working with you again in the future!
I was directed to DaVic Art Gallery as I perused the latest release from Dorset Fine Arts. Their website features a wealth of information on the artists represented and multiple high-quality photographs of the actual works for sale — as opposed to the stock images or artist’s proofs that are often displayed in online print galleries. I was pleased to support a small business with direct ties to the Cape Dorset artist community. The online checkout process was easy and Edgar at DaVic provided the highest level of service. After verifying my order by phone, he sent detailed instructions for the careful unpacking and handling of my print, which was quickly shipped and professionally packaged, and he followed up several days later to confirm receipt and satisfaction.
I could not be happier with my purchase and would definitely recommend DaVic to any enthusiast of Inuit or First Nations art.
I have recently started collecting Inuit art and have purchased prints and sculpture from a number of galleries in the US, Canada, and Switzerland. While I have had good experiences with all of the galleries that I have done business with, Edgar from Davic Art Gallery was over-the-top. His knowledge and sincere helpfulness was beyond impressive. His packing was perfect, and he stayed involved frequently tracking the shipment to insure a perfect delivery.
From this one purchase, I feel as if I have developed a lifelong relationship with Edgar, and I’m sure I could reach out to him if I ever need advice with my growing collection.
I landed on the DaVic Art Gallery website while I was searching the name of a specific artist who exhibits there. The website is professionally laid out and easy to navigate with excellent images of the paintings, and I’m sure I looked at every single one at least twice through! I was struck by one very unique piece, and it now hangs proudly in my home. The process to purchase the painting through the site was an easy one, and Edgar followed-up within a few short hours to confirm my order & schedule a time when we could talk on the phone to settle shipping details. My new painting arrived within the week, safe and sound, and though this was less than a month ago, I’ve already forwarded the website link to a number of friends & family.
Thank you to Edgar & the artists who’s creations I explored, for making this purchase very enjoyable!
I discovered DaVic Art Gallery online through Instagram so at first I was a little hesitant to purchase something from them as they were a relatively new gallery that I hadn’t heard about but they had an extensive collection of very reasonably priced First Nations art works and advertised free shipping to Canada and the US, which can get expensive with large pieces. I figured since I lived relatively close to the Gallery, I could take a chance and if things didn’t work out properly I could pay them a visit in person. Well, I was very pleasantly surprised! The painting I ordered was shipped right away and came professionally wrapped with no damage. Because I live on a small island where mail delivery takes longer than usual, Edgar was worried I wasn’t receiving my parcel on time and contacted me to make sure everything was going ok. Not only that but the painting looked even better in real life that in the pictures I saw. Overall, I was extremely happy with the quality of the artwork I purchased and the service was extraordinary.
I would highly recommend dealing with DaVic Gallery if you are at all interested in collecting reasonably priced, high quality work.
I was looking for a very special print from the Cape Dorset collection and discovered DaVic Arts Gallery’s website. The gallery offers a wide range of Indigenous art and they had my print and reserved it for me right away.
I’m used to order Inuit prints online from various galleries in Canada and United States, and, I must tell, the customer services provided by Edgar goes above and beyond. He rapidly earned my trust and I highly recommend ordering arts from this gallery.
