‘Feathered Trio’ by Lucy Qinnuayuak – Inuit Art – Cape Dorset 1968 print collection presented by DaVic Gallery of Native Canadian Arts.

Condition:       Good condition – Professionally treated for paper handling marks.  Following conditions remain that cannot be treated:  apparent iron inclusion marks scattered throughout the paper (see picture # 5). Light spot stain lower mid margin area.  Price reflects condition noted.

Notes from DaVic Gallery:    Lucy Qinnuayuak was prolific and drew many different subjects, but surely it is for her whimsical birds that she is best remembered. Three happy looking birds hug and get together for a photo, or so it looks like.  Only the feet of the two birds in front are seen touching the ground while the bird behind might be floating.   All three seem to smile and looking at the viewer.   Nine feathers seem to surround the trio and each feather displays five to six  faces of birds tattooed to their feathers.
