Notes from DaVic Gallery:   In similar fashion as its sister print of the same year titled, “Grey Owl” we see a woman, Kenojuak herself perhaps, merged with the figure of the owl perhaps as representation of spirit helper.  Assuming the woman represent Kenojuak, we see her kneeled behind the owl with one knee while the other is stretched out.  Also, her opposite hand is stretched.  It is possible this could be the second of the first of two part print designs where Kenojuak is shaman merging into or emerging from the owl.  Very interesting indeed.
