Notes from DaVic Gallery: This is the first of Kelly’s paintings that I saw and that immediately reminded me of Inuk artist Ohotaq Mikkigak’s “Calm Waters”. Calm and peace and solitude … I think it is great how she uses the boat’s reflection on the water to create balance in this watercolour.
