Description

No!’ by Jutai Toonoo — Cape Dorset Inuit Art from Dorset Fine Arts 2009 original hand drawing collection presented by DaVic Gallery of Native Canadian Arts.

Condition:          Few minor handling marks throughout.

Description by Artist:     No description by artist found.

Notes from DaVic Gallery:   Exasperated man yelling to his dogs one of the few words dogs understand, “NO”.

He draws the subject well centered in the area with strong background to ensure the figure stands out.  Interestingly, the main topic of this composition takes an almost non-visible stage, the two dogs in the bottom middle.  Perhaps is a message that what is around us that causes us to lose temper is really not as important as we think it is and for that one moment is an emotion that takes over our behavior, such as anger.
