‘Some Tribes of Inuit’ by Luke Anguhadluq – Inuit Art – Baker Lake 1976 print collection presented by DaVic Gallery of Native Canadian Arts.

Condition:        Good condition – Treated for minor paper handling marks across the paper. Some minor undulation (waviness) is noticeable on the margins of the paper.

Description by Artist:     No description by artist found.

Notes from DaVic Gallery:    36 members of different tribes gather.  Two tribes are heavily represented with 17 and 14 members respectively while one member from each of the remaining 4 tribes.  However, these 4 tribes are prominently placed in upper right corner while the other two tribes are evenly distributed.  Three rows of 9 men and the top row with only 8 men.  They are all men. Some elder and some young.  Strong sense of community and collaboration is represented.

The blank sheet of letter-size (8.5” x 11”) paper covering part of the image in the last picture is for size reference.
