Description

Untitled ‘Ulu Birds’ by Eegyvudluk Ragee —  Inuit Art from Cape Dorset 1978 original hand drawing collection presented by DaVic Gallery of Native Canadian Arts.

Condition:          Some minor stains visible throughout the paper caused by the artist while drawing.    Minor paper handling marks throughout that are mostly visible when seen at angle to light. This is common in original drawings as Inuit artists would commonly draw at home.

Description by Artist:     No description by artist found.

Notes from DaVic Gallery:   well-balanced composition with equal weight of elements on both left and right sides of the area.  Equally the viewer may perceive equal balance of warm and cool tones excluding the cool toned background.  As viewer I perceive the theme is the presence of an ulu-shaped landscape where all the birds stand.

Reference picture # 4 for size comparison with letter size paper sheet.
